Directorate of Art & Culture has presented the Goa
State Cultural Award for 2018-19 at the hands of
Dr. Premanand Ramani Gomant Vibushan Awardee and Art and
Culture Minister Govind Gaude in the presence of Sagun Velip Director Art and
Culture, Dy Director Ashok Parab, Chokha Ram Garg IAS secretary, Dr Carlos
Fernandes Curator Central Library, etc on 26.1.2020 Kala Academy Goa.

This year the Directorate of Art & Culture DAC honoured 23 eminent personalities / institutions in the field of art and culture by conferring the ‘Goa State Cultural Award’ for their contribution and achievements in their respective fields like music, drama, tiatr, folk art, bhajan, kirtan, craft, literature, painting, etc.
The award comprises of a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh each, a certificate, shrifal, Nataraj replica and a shawl.
Every year the government also honours an institution working in the field of art and culture. Here the award consists of a memento and a cash prize of Rs 3 lakh each.
