Carnival floats parade never starts on time. This year it was to start at 3pm but started around 4.45pm.

This year there were no Politicition VIP or Chief guests including ministers due to election Model Code of conduct still in place till 10th March 2022. Some bureaucrats like IAS officers were there instead.

THIVIM Railway Station

Code: THVM, Two platforms, 4 lines

Thivim Station of Konkan Railway was opened on 27.8.1997

Its about 300mtrs walking distance from the main road.

Local bus available to Mapusa etc from the main road.

Earliest 5.45 am, local buses start 6.50am Rs. 20 fare to Mapusa about 11 kms. (Sometime charge Rs.30, June 2022)

From Mapusa to Panaji bus fare Rs.20,

Mapusa to Thivim Station motor Cycle Pilot Rs.200, Tivim to Panaji Rs.500 (June 2022)

Mapusa to Thivim Stn Taxi Rs.400 (Panaji to Thivim about Rs.850)

update: Last Friday 18.2.22, there was an inspection on Karwar-Madgaon section electrification and on Monday 21.2.22, Madgaon-Thivim section will be inspected. Soon trains will run on electric on KR route
